The Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) will be hosting a pre-conference tour of the Edmonton Waste Management Centre on Tuesday, September 29. The full-day agenda will include guided tours of the Integrated Process and Transfer Facility (IPTF), the Advanced Energy Research Facility (AERF), and the Waste-to-Biofuels Production Facility.  Expert speakers from industry and government will share important insight.

Invitation: CCME Workshop on Consistency of Key Elements of EPR Programs
The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) is undertaking work to achieve greater consistency on key elements of EPR programs. CCME’s Waste Management Task Group invites interested conference participants to a half-day workshop on Tuesday September 29 afternoon (1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. MDT) at the Fairmont Banff Springs to identify key issues and explore options for achieving greater consistency on product lists for EPR materials, definitions, program monitoring and reporting metrics, and auditing protocols.
